....There was a super sweet dachshund puppy named Mocha. Her owner, Memaw, loved her and was so thankful for her company. Her "kids," Zoe and Daniel, loved her and couldn't wait to see her every chance they got.
Then one day everyone noticed that Mocha had wobbly back legs, and that she looked "bow legged." Her Memaw took her to the vet, and the vet diagnosed her with a congenital disorder whereby her back legs were actually not in their joints and decided to give her some calcium pills to help her get stronger. The calcium pills did not help her like everyone hoped.
Now, Mocha's only hope is surgery. This is a surgery that is going to cost more than we have, and this little dog is such a vital part of our lives! We know there are good people out there who love dachshunds and who are generous and could donate to the cause to help Mocha's legs.
This surgery has to be done soon, because the longer we wait, the longer she gets and the longer she gets the worse her legs will become. If you have the means, and are willing we would welcome a donation to offset the cost of Mocha's surgery. I don't really know anything about the logistics of write offs, or anything like that but I'd certainly look into it if that was something that was desired.
Thanks so much for reading, and for looking. We'll keep posting updates as we have them.
